“Believe you can and you will !”

Hello my lovelies !!

This is going to be about a verry common issue that people go trough nowadays called ANXIETY !! I saw a whole bunch of bloggers writting about this topic and it’s not easy at all to take the courage and write about their personal lives and experiences but since it helps so many people they are encouraged to do it ! And I’m here for that too !! I reunited a few of blog posts talking about that and also going to give you my personal experience !

I know you might say : “Oh you’re just too young to suffer of anxiety and you’re just trying to make people feel sorry about you” .I’m seriously not ! It’s too hard to talk about this in such a public space but I sort of feel confortable (let’s say in that way) .

What is anxiety ?

“Anxiety is a general term for several disorders that cause nervousness, fear, apprehension, and worrying. These disorders affect how we feel and behave, and they can manifest real physical symptoms. ”

When is not general state of worry or fear anymore ?

“People often experience a general state of worry or fear before confronting something challenging such as a test, examination, recital, or interview. These feelings are easily justified and considered normal. Anxiety is considered a problem when symptoms interfere with a person’s ability to sleep or otherwise function. Generally speaking, anxiety occurs when a reaction is out of proportion with what might be normally expected in a situation.”

Tanya wrote about her anxietys problems in here and she listed a few things that she uses to make it go away !

” I ask myself “what if?” so whatever I’m worrying about, I ask myself “what if?” and then answer it and if I’m still anxious I ask myself “and….what if?” and keep going until it feels better in my head. It’s kind of going down the “what’s the worst that can happen?” route and reasoning with yourself.

  1. I remind myself that this is an emotional state I’m in and that nobody ever has been stuck in the exact same emotional state forever, so no matter how anxious I’m feeling, I know I won’t feel like this in a few hours, or the next day.
  2. I do simple things like relax in a warm bubble bath and read a book. Never underestimate how valuable time to yourself can be.
  3. Music is amazing too, it can totally uplift your mood and help you think positively. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a song about how great life is, just a song that you enjoy. My favourite at the moment is Sonnentanz by Will Heard.
  4. I use positive affirmations and quotes to help me feel stronger and remind me to think positively. I have lots written down, some I’ve found in books and online and some I’ve made up, (a little tip is to only make up your positive affirmations when you are in a positive mindset, don’t try and do it when you’re already feeling anxious or down as you’ll find it much harder.) Here are two things I say to myself a lot, it’s incredible how much of a difference a few words can make if you really listen to them… “

“If you are reading this, and you suffer with anxiety disorder, have panic attacks, depression, have social anxiety or are just a very negative or shy person, then I know full well, you want more than anything to be able to say yes to so many things, but the way your mind works, means you are terrified to do this. What is the worst that could happen though? Will you drop down dead? No, the chance of that happening are slim to none. ”

“One thing I find very difficult about living with anxiety, is the hold it takes over you without you even realising. You get used to it, and you get used to the way of living, and you don’t see how your behaviours are so varied from the norm. I am very jealous of people that ooze confidence. I sometimes think “If only I never had to worry about anything”, but then do I really have anything to worry about anyway? Are the things I worry about really significant in the grand scheme of things? The answer is no, probably not.”

“I have started to say YES to things I’d never normally say yes to. I’m not saying yes to absolutely everything, but i’m making a conscious effort to agree to more things. I recently went to a Festival, and yes, it was only for the day, but I have a slight fear over festivals. Large crowds, drunk people who will probably end up vomming (fear of vomit), but I put all this to the back of my mind, and just went. I had such a good day and got to see one of my favourite bands and make happy memories.”

 Say YES to something you wouldn’t normally say yes to, and let me know in the comments what it was

 Alternatively, download/buy the book “Yes Man” written by Danny Wallace & read it
 Put your favourite song on and dance around to it (not for any reason other than i’m sure it will make you feel at least 10x better than you did before reading this)
 Remember that you are not the only one feeling this way, and that only you can change the outlook you have on life”

Hello !

Today I’m here to tell you about my newest discovery!I find out about BLOGILATES on youtube last week and the reason why I did’nt mention anything was because I was waiting to see if there was good results ! And I see them ! I really noticed the differences on my body ! Of course I’m trying my best to eat clean every single day cause if you want to lose weight is obvious that you’re going to need a combo of exercises and a diet plan !

Going back to BLOGILATES… Her name is Cassey Ho, she’s soo motivacional and it seems that she is seeing you cause every time I’m about to give up she says: “Hey just continue doing your great job” and stuff ! There’s something about the way she conduces her videos that make you want to more ! Also when you’re dying with so much pain she starts talking about a random thing such as her house or her nails or something ! haha

Healthy Snacks

Hello !

So I know a lot of you are going back to school and some already are ! This basically is a help to those of you who don’t have much time to prepare your breakfast or a snack for school but there are some that takes a little more time ! I put together some healthy snacks even for the morning or afternoon (how you wish) !

#1 SNACK

Quinoa and Black Bean Lettuce Wraps (Full details)

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Onion, diced
1 Red or yellow pepper, rinsed, seeded and diced
1/2 (15oz) can Black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cups Cooked quinoa
1 cup Salsa
1 Avocado, peeled and diced
To taste Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
To taste Salt and black pepper
8 leafs Boston Bibb lettuce

Directions :

  1. Cook quinoa according to directions on package.
  2. Prepare onion and red pepper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients above (except for lettuce leafs).
  4. Once the mixture is combined, spread ¼ cup of the mixture onto each lettuce leaf and wrap/fold over like a taco shell.
  5. Enjoy as a snack or a quick lunch!

#2 SNACK 

Crackers With Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread and Banana

Ingredients:

  • 2 crisp bread crackers
  • 1 tablespoon of chocolate-hazelnut spread
  • 1 sliced banana

Directions :

  • Dividing evenly,spread 2 crisp bread cracker with 1 tablespoon of chocolate-hazelnut spread.Top with 1 sliced banana

#3 SNACK (Full details)

Ingredients :

  • 6 sticks celery, trimmed
  • 6 granny smith apples, cut in half, each half cut into wedges
  • 5cm-piece fresh ginger, peeled, sliced

Directions :

  • Use a juice extractor to process the celery, apples and ginger. Transfer to a large jug and stir to combine. Serve immediately.

#4 SNACK (Full details)

Cinnamon Oranges

Ingredients :

  • 4 navel oranges
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions :

  1. With a sharp knife, remove rind and white pith from oranges. Cut each into 5 or 6 slices and arrange on 4 plates. Whisk together orange juice and lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon. Spoon over the orange slices.

#5 SNACK (Full details)

Ingredients :

  • 100g bag salted microwave popcorn
  • ¼ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup

Directions:

  1. Cook the microwave popcorn according to the packet instructions. Tip into a large bowl. Sprinkle over the spices, then pour over the agave syrup. Stir and serve warm or pour into a bag and take to work as an afternoon snack.

#6 SNACK (Full details)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Brown Banana

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS

  • Dash of Cinnamon and Pumpkin Spice
  • Handful of Berries
  • 1 Tb Ground Flax
  • Pure Maple Syrup
DIRECTIONS
  1.  Mash and Puree your banana until its smooth
  2.  Crack 2 eggs into the banana mixture. Blend together with a spoon.
  3.  Pat yourself on the back for creating your cake batter.
  4.  Mix in and spices, flax seed, fruit  to the batter.
  5.  Spray some Pam or Olive Oil to a nonstick pan and turn your stove top to low-medium heat.
  6.  Pour 2 Tb of the batter to the pan. Allow it to spread.
  7.  Once it starts bubbling, GENTLY flip it over.
  8.  Allow it to sizzle for 30 seconds to a minute.
  9.  Repeat until batter is finished.
  10.  Top with Blueberries, & Maple Syrup.

#7 SNACK (Full details)

Ingredients:

  • ½ toasted whole-grain “flat” bagel
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ricotta
  • ⅓ cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 teaspoonhoney or agave nectar.

Directions :

Spread ½ toasted whole-grain “flat” bagel with 2 tablespoons fresh ricotta. Top with ⅓ cup sliced strawberries. Drizzle with 1 teaspoonhoney or agave nectar.

What I did today

Hii !!

I know this might be to boring for the majority of you but since I didn’t have any idea on what to post I decided to do a little Outfit Of The Day (#OOTD) and also what I bought on the mall !! I didn’t went all cucu crazy I just bought two things !

First is my #OOTD !

I’m not any fashionista so this is probably not what you are hoping for it to be !

And since I live in Brazil all my clothes are from here so I’m not going to link anything ! sorry 😦

So it’s just a dark washed jeans,a kind of see trough shirt with the England flag,some orange bracelets,a tiara with a red bow , a little bow ring(Idon’t know if you can see it but it’s gold) and also I used my sunglasses which I showed on the last post !
